Special Spotter (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the Special Spotter mobile application and supporting website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Account Information: Email address and password used to create an account. Authentication is securely handled through Supabase Auth.
Location Data: GPS location or a manually entered city is used to show nearby restaurant specials.
App Usage Data: We may record certain interactions such as viewed restaurants, viewed specials, filters, and preferences to improve the platform and provide analytics to restaurant owners.
Restaurant Owner Information: Restaurant owners may submit business details, promotions, photos, and specials to be displayed in the application.
All data is stored securely through Supabase infrastructure using PostgreSQL databases with Row Level Security (RLS) policies and authentication controls.
Passwords are encrypted and hashed through Supabase Auth and are never visible to us. We implement reasonable safeguards to protect stored information from unauthorized access or misuse.
We do not sell or trade personal information.
We may share aggregated, non-personal usage data (such as total restaurant listing views) with restaurant owners or partners to help improve the platform.
Special Spotter uses third-party service providers to operate the platform, including Supabase for authentication, database storage, and backend services.
These providers only process information necessary to operate the service and are not permitted to use it for unrelated purposes.
Your location is used only to display restaurants and specials near you. You may disable GPS access at any time and instead use manual city search within the application.
The app may use device storage to remember settings such as distance filters, selected day, and viewing preferences. These preferences are stored locally on your device.
We retain account and usage information only as long as necessary to operate the service or comply with legal obligations. Users may request deletion of their account and associated data at any time.

Special Spotter is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has created an account, we will remove the information promptly.
