Special Spotter (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the Special Spotter mobile application and supporting website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Account Information: Email address and password (secured via Supabase Auth).

Location Data: GPS or manually entered city to show nearby restaurant specials.

App Usage: Filters, preferences, and viewed specials.

Restaurant Owners: Submitted business details and promotions.

2. How We Use Your Information

Display nearby restaurant specials
Maintain filters and profile settings
Send password reset links and verification emails
Prevent misuse and maintain platform security

3. How We Protect Your Data

All data is stored securely through Supabase (PostgreSQL databases with Row Level Security and Auth policies). Passwords are hashed and never visible to us.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or share your personal information.

We may share aggregated, non-personal usage data with restaurants or partners to help improve the platform.

5. Location Permissions

Your location is used only to display specials near you. You may disable GPS and use manual city search instead.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

The app uses device storage to remember your distance settings, filters, selected day, and viewing preferences.

7. Your Rights

You may request:

Account deletion
Removal of your stored personal data
A copy of all information we store about your account
