By using the Special Spotter mobile application and website (“Service”), you agree to the following Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Special Spotter is a platform that displays restaurant specials, promotions, and deals in nearby areas. We do not set prices, guarantee accuracy, or endorse specific restaurants.

3. User Accounts

• You must provide a valid email address.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• You must not impersonate another person or provide false information.

4. Restaurant Owner Accounts

Restaurant owners may list specials on the platform. Owners agree that:

• All submitted information must be accurate and up-to-date.
• Special Spotter may remove misleading or inappropriate content.
• Listings do not constitute advertising or paid placement unless agreed separately.

5. Location Usage

The Service may request access to your device’s location to show nearby specials. You may disable this permission at any time.

6. Use of the Service

You agree not to:

• Scrape or copy restaurant listings or prices
• Interfere with the operation of the Service
• Upload harmful or malicious content
• Attempt to bypass access controls or restrictions

7. Accuracy of Information

While we strive to show accurate specials, restaurants may change prices or promotions without notifying us. We are not responsible for discrepancies, outdated information, or errors in listings.

8. Intellectual Property

All branding, design elements, layouts, and text on Special Spotter are owned by us and may not be copied, reproduced, or redistributed.

9. Billing and Subscriptions

Some restaurant listings may require a paid subscription to appear on the platform. Payments and billing are processed through third-party payment providers such as Stripe.

Subscription pricing, billing periods, and renewal terms are displayed before purchase. Restaurant owners may manage or cancel subscriptions through the billing portal provided in their account.

10. Content Moderation

Special Spotter reserves the right to remove, edit, or disable listings, specials, photos, or other submitted content that violates these Terms, contains misleading information, or harms the platform or its users.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or attempt to harm the platform or other users.

12. Limitation of Liability

Special Spotter is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

• Business losses or damages
• Restaurant inaccuracies or availability
• Loss of data
• Service interruptions

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be posted here with a revised date.
